A conservation record is as much a part of a work's history as the treatment itself — structured, specific, and built to be trusted by insurers, appraisers, institutions, and the conservators who follow.
Our approach
Every report follows the same structure: the object identified and physically described, its condition mapped, the findings of any technical analysis, and a chronological record of the treatment itself — what was done, in what order, and with which specific materials.
Photography runs throughout — before, during, and after, under normal, raking, and ultraviolet light — so the transformation and every intervention are shown, not just described.
The finished dossier closes with guidance for display, storage, and future care, prepared to a standard recognised by museums, auction houses, and insurers — suitable for appraisal, acquisition, loan, or simply the work's own archive.
